Antonio began dancing at the age of seven, at his church, where he gained a strong background in choreography. He had his first big break as a founding member of the Breakdance Project Uganda, and thereafter winner of Uganda’s prestigious Hotsteps dance competition in 2008. Antonio is a founding member of Breakdance Project Uganda and Tabu Flo Dance Company. Following on these successes, Antonio opened Kampala’s first hip hop dance studio, and is an accomplished teacher and choreographer in hip hop, dancehall, African and contemporary styles. In 2012 developed an African arts and dance education program which he has rolled out in schools across Germany and which he hopes to bring back to Uganda to teach young Ugandans. Antonio is an invaluable member of the Batalo East team, providing both creative and technical input.
